Basketball Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Hart County Bulldogs

The Pendleton Bulldogs and the Hart County Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Pendleton is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Madison County on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Pendleton was dealt a 65-35 defeat at the hands of Madison County. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.

Meanwhile, Hart County beat Oglethorpe County 62-51 on Monday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Patriots are ranked 469th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hart County's record is now 8-3. As for Pendleton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Pendleton came up short against Hart County when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 51-43. Can Pendleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
