Basketball Recap: Coy Sizemore Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Vanguard

After losing to Vanguard the last time they met, North Marion decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The North Marion Colts came out on top against the Vanguard Knights by a score of 64-51 on Tuesday.

North Marion got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Coy Sizemore out in front who posted 12 points. Elijah Lee was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

North Marion has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 32.3% in those games and 28.1% outside of them. As for Vanguard, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

North Marion will face off against Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Forest has won eight straight at home, while North Marion won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Vanguard, they will host West Port at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
