Basketball Recap: South Charlotte Falls Despite Big Games from Caroline Gidney and Maribella Aitchison

South Charlotte lost against Metrolina Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunder fell 36-24 to the Warriors. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Charlotte's loss came despite strong showings from Maribella Aitchison and Caroline Gidney. Aitchison posted eight points and 11 rebounds, while Gidney scored seven points and 13 boards.

South Charlotte now has a losing record of 1-2.

South Charlotte and Metrolina Christian Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Thunder are set to face off against their familiar foe Forsyth Home Educators at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy will challenge rival Gaston Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
