Basketball Recap: Ron Brown Starts off Right with Win over Capital City Public Charter School + How To Watch

Ron Brown took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They strolled past the Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES with points to spare, taking the game 80-65. That's more bragging rights for the Monarchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ron Brown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darrin Rado, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 17 points and three steals. Rado is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Derrick Harley, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 16 points and six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Capital City Public Charter School lost, don't look at Drew Whittington. Despite the final result, he posted 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moses Jackson, who had 11 points.

Ron Brown has already played their next contest, a 58-13 win against Model Secondary School for the Deaf on the 3rd. As for Capital City Public Charter School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-68 loss against Bell on the 3rd.
