Basketball Recap: Timberline Drops Highest Score of Season Against Reed + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timberline). They took down the Reed Raiders 58-41 on Friday. The Wolves pushed the score to 54-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ford Gilliam, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Reed is 2-1 when Gilliam posts three or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise. Xavier Hoffman was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 14 points.

The win made it two in a row for Timberline and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Reed, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Timberline and Post Falls will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Reed, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kuna at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Kavemen have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
