Basketball Recap: Weeki Wachee Takes a Loss

If Weeki Wachee was feeling good fresh off their 78-27 takedown of Bayshore Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets were outmatched by the Nature Coast Tech Sharks and fell 70-35. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the loss, Weeki Wachee still got an impressive performance from Logan White, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The game was White's eighth in a row with at least 15 points.

Weeki Wachee's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Nature Coast Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Weeki Wachee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-68 victory against Angeline Academy of Innovation on the 15th. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will be home for the holidays to greet Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
