Soccer Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert lost against North Augusta on March 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gilbert Indians lost 6-1 to the North Augusta Yellow Jackets. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Indians were already down 5-0.

Gilbert now has a losing record of 2-3-2. As for North Augusta, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

Gilbert will be playing in front of their home fans against Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gilbert has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for North Augusta, they will head out to take on Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gray Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Augusta surely won't give up without a fight.
