Dalhart barely beat Childress the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bobcats on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Hunter Trusler was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Trusler was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Dalhart: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, Lil Bird was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Talon Garcia, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Dalhart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Childress only managed seven hits.

Dalhart's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Childress, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1.

Dalhart didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 loss against Littlefield on the 2nd. As for Childress, they have also already played their next game, a 14-9 victory against Slaton on the 2nd.
