Basketball Recap: Uvalde Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Uvalde was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars, falling 49-27. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1050th, while the Tigers/Jaguars are ranked 355th).

Uvalde dropped their record down to 11-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Floresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Uvalde and Floresville will both be playing Carrizo Springs the next time they take the court. The Tigers/Jaguars will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
