Volleyball Recap: Arvada Takes a Loss

Arvada lost against Arrupe Jesuit back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Generals, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-12.

Lilly Rice paced Arvada's offense, picking up four kills. Rice were helped by Lily Heck and Maggie Martinez, who contributed four assists each. Rice also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Carolina Trevino, each putting up two.

Arvada dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Arvada will be playing in front of their home fans against Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arrupe Jesuit, after both having extra time off, they and Middle Park will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
