Basketball Recap: Williamsburg Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Audrey Wadford and Trystan Burrows

Williamsburg Academy lost against Pee Dee Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Williamsburg Academy Stallions received a blow as they fell 30-15 to the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 76th).

Trystan Burrows and Audrey Wadford certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Burrows posted six points, while Wadford put up six points.

Rebecca Hammond was her usual excellent self, putting up ten points and eight boards for Pee Dee Academy.

Williamsburg Academy's record is now 2-11. As for Pee Dee Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Williamsburg Academy has already played their next match (against Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pee Dee Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 34-28 win against Cathedral Academy on the 17th.
