Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Austin Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Fort Bend Austin won the last time they faced Friendswood and things went their way on Friday too. The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs came out on top against the Friendswood Mustangs by a score of 46-36. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Mustangs are ranked 34th).

Fort Bend Austin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Friendswood, they moved to 17-3 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Austin will challenge Fort Bend Hightower at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Friendswood, they will host Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
