Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Charlestown's Winning Streak

Charlestown and Brownstown Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Charlestown had to settle for second. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownstown Central Braves. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Charlestown still got an impressive performance from Anthony Fresh, who went 9-for-14 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points. The game was Fresh's 11th in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keevin Bowman, who posted 13 points.

Charlestown's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Brownstown Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-2.

Charlestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brownstown Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-50 victory against Silver Creek on the 8th.
