Softball Game Preview: East Wake Academy Eagles vs. Rolesville Rams

East Wake Academy hasn't had much luck against Rolesville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Neither East Wake Academy nor Rolesville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Wake Academy's offense. They came up short against Vance Charter on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Rolesville nor Wake Forest made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Rams fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Rolesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Bolster, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

East Wake Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Rolesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

East Wake Academy suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Rolesville when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
