Volleyball Recap: Cabot Starts off Right with Win over Paragould

Cabot gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Paragould Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 23-25, 25-15.

Cabot was led to victory by Whitney Shepherd and Kaelyn Heagerty. Shepherd had 22 digs and three assists, while Heagerty had 13 digs. Heagerty is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Cabot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Batesville on the 26th. As for Paragould, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Jonesboro on the 26th.
