Volleyball Recap: Mount St. Mary Beats Jenks for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Mount St. Mary waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Jenks Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on Friday.

Mount St. Mary was led to victory by Annabel Headrick and Brecken Smiley. Headrick had 11 digs and four assists, while Smiley had six digs and two assists. Those four assists gave Headrick a new career-high. Kenleigh Booth also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Mount St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Jenks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Mount St. Mary and Jenks will both be playing Broken Arrow the next time they take the court. The Rockets will head out to face the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
