Volleyball Recap: St. Laurence Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

St. Laurence waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day St. Laurence got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 22-25, 25-21.

St. Laurence found their leader in sophomore Paul Rzadkosz, who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Rzadkosz.

St. Laurence's victory bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Berwyn/Cicero Morton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season.

St. Laurence has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Argo on the 22nd. Berwyn/Cicero Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
