Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elmore City-Pernell). They put the hurt on the Springer Cardinals with a sharp 18-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elmore City-Pernell's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Springer, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elmore City-Pernell beat the Cardinals by a score of 15-0 later that day.
