Football Recap: Hamilton Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Hamilton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-13 victory over the Hale County Wildcats. The Aggies pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Eli Harris had a dynamite game, rushing for 170 yards and four touchdowns. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Holloway, who threw for 100 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hamilton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hale County only rushed for 107 rushing yards.

When it comes to explaining why Hale County lost, don't look at Kaivien Ryans. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and two scores, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.

Coming up, Hamilton will square off against Phil Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hale County, they will challenge Oakman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
