Valley scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 27-14 to the Sunrise Mountain Miners. The loss leaves the Vikings still looking for their first win of the season.
Nataly Bermudez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Daisy Briceno, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.
Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Sunrise Mountain, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.
