The Crestwood Red Devils will challenge the St. John Fighting Herald at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crestwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season.

Crestwood is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Streetsboro on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Crestwood lost 62-38 to Streetsboro. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered against the Rockets since December 9, 2014.

Despite the loss, Crestwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brody Durham posted 14 points along with five boards and five steals. Durham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of James Durham, who earned seven points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, St. John entered their tilt with Conneaut on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Spartans 70-31.

Crestwood's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for St. John, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Everything came up roses for Crestwood against St. John in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 60-26 win. Does Crestwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. John turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
