Basketball Recap: Goshen Central Comes Up Short

Goshen Central lost against Port Jervis back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goshen Central Gladiators fell just short of the Port Jervis Raiders by a score of 64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Gladiators have suffered against the Raiders since February 12, 2020.

Goshen Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Port Jervis, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen Central will welcome Cornwall Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Cornwall Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Goshen Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Jervis, they will be playing at home against Wallenpaupack Area at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
