Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Academy III Eagles vs. Forest Hills Rangers

The Eagle Academy III Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Forest Hills Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle Academy III will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Eagle Academy III against Bayside as the squad secured an 83-53 victory.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Forest Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past Bowne with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-39. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Wildcats are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forest Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Eagle Academy III, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Eagle Academy III couldn't quite finish off Forest Hills when the teams last played back in January and fell 69-66. Can Eagle Academy III avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
