After both having extra time off, the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders and the Burlingame Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Archbishop Riordan's tournament run continued when they took on Lathrop on Saturday. The Crusaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burlingame extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Reiter Madden. The Panthers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Aragon thanks in part to Madden, who had 14 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Burlingame took Aragon into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 15-8.

Burlingame pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Archbishop Riordan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
