Deer Valley waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Goldwater Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

While Deer Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

Casian Zirbo paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up 16 kills. Zirbo got some help from Heath McPherson and his 35 assists. Zirbo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Deer Valley's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Goldwater, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Deer Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Estrella Foothills on the 9th. As for Goldwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Crismon on the 30th.
