King City has gone 6-0-1 against Stevenson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The King City Mustangs will head out to face off against the Stevenson Pirates at 3:30 p.m. Stevenson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on King City, who comes in off a win.

King City gave up the first goal last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pajaro Valley 2-1. The result kept the Mustangs happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Stevenson came up short against Salinas on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

The victory got King City back to even at 3-3-3. As for Stevenson, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-6-2.

Everything went King City's way against Stevenson in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, as King City made off with a 9-0 win. Will King City repeat their success, or does Stevenson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
