Baseball Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-10 in the process. They lost 13-2 to the Lost River Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-1 defeat on Friday.

As for Lost River, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Lost River's part, they got a massive performance out of Conner Guthrie, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Guthrie's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah O'Neill, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Glendale will face off against Hosanna Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lost River, they will take on Etna at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
