The James Buchanan Rockets will venture away from home to square off against the Delone Catholic Squires at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. James Buchanan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

James Buchanan lost 18-3 to Greencastle-Antrim on Wednesday. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James Buchanan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emileigh Linn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one triple. Brooklyn Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delone Catholic). They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over Fairfield on Wednesday. The Squires haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Teagan Funkhouser, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Jill Sherdel was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Delone Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

James Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Delone Catholic, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
