Football Recap: Newton Falls Takes a Loss

Newton Falls lost against Jackson-Milton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a hard 26-7 fall against the Bluejays. The Tigers were down 20-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Newton Falls still got an impressive performance from Chace Clonch, who rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Clonch also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making six total tackles, and defending one pass.

Newton Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jackson-Milton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Newton Falls wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-17 defeat against Mathews on the 5th. As for Jackson-Milton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-0 victory against Windham on the 5th.
