Baseball Recap: Fletcher Find Success

Fletcher's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Empire Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Morgan Harrington, who scored a run and stole three bases. Fletcher is undefeated when Harrington posts two or more stolen bases, but 8-10 otherwise. Rayce Stoll was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Fletcher now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Empire, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Fletcher has already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Grandfield on the 3rd. As for Empire, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Rush Springs on the 7th.
