Football Recap: San Juan Finds Playoff Glory Versus South Summit

San Juan extended their postseason success on Saturday against South Summit. They claimed a resounding 57-10 victory over the Wildcats. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-3.

San Juan was led to victory by Jagger Nieves and Beau Yeomans. Nieves gained 230 total yards and four touchdowns, while Yeomans threw for 329 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Nieves has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last 15 times he's played. San Juan's leading receiver Tripp Palmer was Yeomans' top target yet again, picking up 117 receiving yards and one score.

San Juan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Summit only rushed for 90.

San Juan pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for South Summit, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

As of now, neither San Juan nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
