Baseball Recap: John Adams Comes Up Short

John Adams had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-6 to make it four. They came up short against the Beacon Blue Demons, falling 12-2. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Blue Demons when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Beacon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Beacon's part, Owen Riess was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Riess has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Bruch, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Coming up, John Adams will look to defend their home field on Friday against Francis Lewis at 4:00 p.m. As for Beacon, they will square off against Bayside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
