Basketball Recap: Johnson Bayou Comes Up Short

Johnson Bayou suffered their biggest loss since November 8, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 65-21 defeat at the hands of the Pickering Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Red Devils are ranked 90th).

Johnson Bayou has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. As for Pickering, they pushed their record up to 19-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Johnson Bayou does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pickering, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-8 win against Vinton on the 14th.
