Falkville owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 9-5 loss.

Lily Slayton was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilee Pace, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Falkville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Decatur Heritage Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .231.

The win made it two in a row for Falkville and bumps their season record up to 6-13. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16-2 record this season.

Falkville will square off against East Lawrence at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Tanner on the 16th.
