Baseball Recap: Chilton County Find Success

Chilton County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Holtville, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Chilton County Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Holtville Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Logan Coppedge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Coppedge was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Brody Pierce was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Ethan Benson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Chilton County back to even at 1-1. As for Holtville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
