Football Recap: Augusta E Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Augusta E was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 22-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Providence Athletic Club Panthers. The Eagles lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-20 score last time.

Augusta E lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Pelham Inglett, who rushed for 53 yards, and also caught one TD.

Augusta E didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nathan Whiting.

The critical scores for Providence Athletic Club came from Gage Taylor, Josh Williams, and Patrick Bennett.

Augusta E's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Providence Athletic Club, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Augusta E will face off against Coastal HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Providence Athletic Club, they will challenge Greenville H at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
