Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Skates Past Faith Christian with Ease

Excel Christian Academy picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 58-30 victory over the Faith Christian Saints. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Among those leading the charge was Paydan Handlin, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Charis Brownfield, who had ten points.

Despite the defeat, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alexa Tomlison dropped a double-double with 11 points and 18 boards. Tomlison is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Yaretzi DelaRosa was another key player, putting up no points and seven steals.

Excel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.

Excel Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 73-43 victory against Waco Christian on the 21st. As for Faith Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-20 win against McCauley Christian Academy on the 21st.
