South River is 8-2 against Annapolis since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Seahawks will host the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South River's last matchup with Severna Park could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Seahawks came up short against the Falcons, falling 13-3. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nolan Hooker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Annapolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to Severna Park.

Will Meyer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Annapolis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Goulet, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Annapolis' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for South River, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Annapolis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South River has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. It's a different story for Annapolis, though, as they've only averaged .356. Will they be able to contain South River's hitters?

South River beat Annapolis 7-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Seahawks repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
