Basketball Recap: Dollar Bay Takes a Loss

If Dollar Bay was riding high fresh off their 50-24 takedown of Chassell last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dollar Bay Bays had to suffer through a 66-21 loss at the hands of the L'Anse Purple Hornets. The Bays haven't had much luck with the Purple Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Aubrey Karppinen was Dollar Bay's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Karppinen also led the team in rebounds with eight. Macy Jurgensen took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Dollar Bay's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for L'Anse, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Dollar Bay will square off against Watersmeet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for L'Anse, they will challenge Lake Linden-Hubbell at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
