Calvin Christian fell victim to Foothills Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Calvin Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Souders, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Zach Gordon also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Calvin Christian's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Foothills Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Coming up, Calvin Christian will take on Rock Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Foothills Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Crusaders' match: after the Crusaders faces off against Escondido Charter, they'll take on Foothills Christian again at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
