Basketball Recap: Lapwai Falls Short of Valley in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lapwai can now relate to. They fell 60-50 to the Valley Vikings on Saturday. The Wildcats have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Lapwai's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madden Bisbee, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, and Skylin Picard, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. That's the most boards Bisbee has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Amasone George, who earned nine points.

Lapwai's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Lapwai nor Valley have any future games scheduled.
