Basketball Recap: Lisa Richards Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Canyon View

After losing to Canyon View the last time they met, Union decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars enjoyed a cozy 44-30 win over the Falcons on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lisa Richards, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave Richards a new career-high. Halle Oakey also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Union's record is now 3-1. As for Canyon View, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Juab at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canyon View, they will head out to face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
