Triad is 8-1 against Jersey since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Triad is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Mascoutah on Friday. They took a 16-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Triad's defeat came about despite a quality game from Brayden Riney, who picked up 66 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Jersey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of Waterloo. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 145th).

Triad's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Jersey, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Triad against Jersey when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 42-13 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Panthers' John Paul Vogel, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown.
