Baseball Recap: Splendora Takes a Loss

Splendora was the 5-4 winner over West Fork when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Splendora fell just short of West Fork by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

Splendora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Frank, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Frank has posted since back in April of 2024. Wyatt Sepanio was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Splendora's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for West Fork, they moved to 10-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Splendora will venture away from home to take on Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Fork, they will host El Campo at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. El Campo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so West Fork's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
