Preview: Grossmont vs. Helix
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Helix. They will take on Grossmont at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Helix will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Last Friday, Helix put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Valhalla to the tune of 56-6. Junior Elelyon Noa, who rushed for 111 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Helix's success. This marked the 4th game in which Noa has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Valhalla two weeks ago, Grossmont came back down to earth. Grossmont have to be aching after a bruising 20-44 defeat to Granite Hills. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Granite Hills enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Everything came up roses for Helix against Grossmont the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 57-3 win. Will Helix repeat their success, or does Grossmont have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
