Softball Recap: Wickliffe Blue Devils vs. Kirtland Hornets
Wickliffe had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Kirtland on Tuesday. The Blue Devils never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. Leigha Blazetic made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
