Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Piute

Piute waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Bryce Valley Mustangs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brodee Montague spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bodie Gayler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in August of 2024. Nash Fautin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Piute's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Bryce Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.
