Basketball Recap: San Clemente's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Mission Viejo on Saturday, San Clemente came back down to earth. The Tritons took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothill Knights on Monday. The contest marked the Tritons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

San Clemente's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braeden Baggs, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 13 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Desi Gutierrez, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The loss snapped San Clemente's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Foothill, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
