Basketball Preview: Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies vs. Larimore Polar Bears
The Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies will be playing at home against the Larimore Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Larimore took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Park River/Fordville-Lankin, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Park River/Fordville-Lankin was able to grind out a solid win over the Woodchucks, taking the game 64-54.
Meanwhile, Larimore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Griggs County Central/Midkota.
Despite their loss, Larimore saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jace Collison, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Michael Myers was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Park River/Fordville-Lankin's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Larimore, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Park River/Fordville-Lankin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Polar Bears in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 win. Will Park River/Fordville-Lankin repeat their success, or do the Polar Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
