Maize is headed out to face East after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Maize was the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Northwest on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Maize in their matchups with Northwest: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Hays. That's two games in a row now that East have lost by just one goal.

Maize took their victory against East in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maize since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
